In 2022 SHAID rehomed 513 cats and 38 dogs and supported more animals with life saving surgery than ever before. From amputations, full dental removal and eye removal to the routine spaying and neutering of pets and strays, these surgeries were essential and expensive. SHAID is a registered charity that receives no government funding, thus we rely entirely on support from our community.

  • Wet kitten and cat canned food

  • Kitten milk replacement powder

  • Pine wood stove pellets (we use this instead of clay litter!)

  • Pill Pockets

  • Assorted cat toys

  • Kitten shampoo

  • Microwavable heat pads

  • Cat beds, grooming tools, scratch posts, and condos are less of a need but always welcome!

We do not use heavy blankets, comforters, pillows, wool blankets or bed sheets. We have many animals which means a lot of laundry for our old washing machines!
