Only selected applicants will be contacted within 3 business days to schedule a meet-and-greet.

Same-day adoptions are not available for newly posted litters.

Please note the following important policies:

  • We do not adopt unspayed female kittens into homes with unneutered male cats.

  • All adoptions must be approved by two SHAID staff members.

  • Applications must be fully completed to be considered.

Adoption Fee for Kittens Under 4 Months: $375
This includes:

  • Vaccinations

  • Flea and deworming treatment

  • FIV/FeLV testing

  • Future spay/neuter and microchipping (appointment arranged by SHAID when the kitten is 5–6 months old)

Payment Methods Accepted: Debit, credit, or cash (sorry, no checks).

How to Apply:

  • Complete the adoption application fully.

  • Email the form to info@shaidanimalshelter.com with the subject line:
    ‘Kitten(s) Name – Adoption Application’

  • If no specific kitten name is included in the subject line, your application will go into our general application pool.

Please Note:

We often receive more great applications than we have kittens available, and we do our best to match each kitten with the most suitable home. If you're not selected for your first choice, we encourage you to apply again for future litters.

We appreciate your understanding and enthusiasm!
Please do not call the shelter for updates. Only selected applicants will be contacted.
