SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

SHAID Tree Animal Shelter provides a rebate for low-income residents of Lunenburg or Queens County who need help with the cost of spaying or neutering their cats or dogs. (Limit of 2 pets per household.) Spaying and neutering are important steps in managing the pet population and lowering the number of homeless animals. These procedures can also help prevent certain health problems and unwanted behaviors, leading to healthier pets and happier owners!

To apply: 

  • complete the application below and attach the most recent NOA (Notice of Assessment) for all adults in the household

  • You will be notified within 1–2 weeks regarding the status of your application. 

 

Important: Applications will not be approved for procedures that have already been completed!
