It’s important to plan ahead for your pets’ future care in the event of your death. Deciding who they will go to and addressing this in your will and with that person ensures they will always be safe and cared for. If you do not have a trusted friend or family member who can take in your pet, you can have peace of mind knowing that SHAID Tree Animal Shelter will provide care, shelter, and work to find them a loving new home.
Consider adding the following clause to your will:
“If I have any pets at my death and have not made alternative provision for their care and welfare, I give those pets to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. Without imposing any trust, I ask SHAID to take any action it deems necessary for the welfare of my pets, including:
